Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) was a Finnish-American architect and designer known for his organic forms and visionary buildings. He designed iconic furniture such as the Tulip Chair as well as architectural masterpieces such as the TWA terminal in New York and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. Saarinen is considered an important representative of the modern design language of the 20th century, combining technology, sculpture and architecture in a unique way.
