Eileen Gray (1878-1976) was an Irish designer and architect and is one of the most important designers of modernism. She became known for her avant-garde furniture designs made of metal and lacquer as well as for her clear, functional architectural language. Iconic works such as the Adjustable Table E1027 and the Villa E-1027 demonstrate her innovative approach and her influence on modern design in the 20th century.
