Castelli

Castelli is an Italian furniture company from Bologna, founded in 1877 by Ettore Castelli. Originally a small workshop, Castelli developed into a pioneer of modern office furniture in the 20th century. In 1965, the "Chair Division" was founded, in which designers such as Giancarlo Piretti created the iconic Plia folding chair (1967) as well as models such as DSC 106, Plona, Alky, Vertebra and Dorsal. The Plia sold millions of units worldwide and won major design awards.
