Metallwarenfabrik Wädenswil (formerly P. & W. Blattmann, later MEWA) was a traditional metal workshop in Wädenswil, founded in 1838, where the iconic Landi chair was made from aluminium for the Swiss National Exhibition at the end of the 1930s. Until the late 1990s, the company manufactured steel furniture, fire extinguishers and hot water boilers, among other things. In 1998, the family handed over the company and production ceased at the beginning of 2000.
