USM Haller

Switzerland
USM Haller is a modular furniture system from Switzerland, designed in 1963 by Paul Schärer and the architect Fritz Haller. Originally developed for the company's own use, the system went into series production in 1969. It is based on chrome-plated steel tubes, connecting spheres and customisable panels. Today, USM Haller is regarded as a design classic and is used in offices and living spaces all over the world. The origins of the company date back to 1885, when it was founded as a metalworking shop in Münsingen.
