Vitra is a family-run Swiss furniture company founded in 1950. From 1957, it produced European licences for Eames and Nelson, followed by the famous "Panton Chair" in 1967. From 1981, Vitra developed the architecturally significant campus in Weil am Rhein with a series of buildings by established architects. The company continues to produce design classics in series production to this day and operates production facilities and showrooms worldwide.
