Red Karelia lounge chair

Liisi Beckmann (1924-2004) was a Finnish designer and artist who worked primarily in Italy and became an important figure in Italian design of the 1960s and 1970s with her Karelia armchair designed for Zanotta in 1966, an early, frameless piece of upholstered furniture with a sculptural form; her work was shown internationally in museums and is part of important design collections.
