Wire chair „Model 420“ by Harry Bertoia (1915-1978) for Knoll International. Made of steel, designed in the 1950s. The chair has black lacquered sled legs and an organically shaped seat made of white steel wire.

Harry Bertoia (1915-1978) was an Italian-American artist and designer. He worked in the fields of sculpture, furniture and jewellery design. In the 1950s, he designed his famous wire chair models for Knoll, including the so-called Bertoia Chair. At the same time, he developed metal sculptures and so-called Sonambient sound objects, in which movement and sound play a central role.
